Youth Beat is looking for young creatives ready to gain new skills and start a career in media!
Eligibility
Young adults ages 18-25
Cannot be currently enrolled in or have completed a four year college or university degree (Community College is OK)
Demonstrate a prior interest in or commitment to learning digital media
Commitment
Dates: August 14 - December 13
Mondays & Wednesdays 11a-5:30p: skill and career development workshops
1 hour twice monthly: check-in with your mentors
Compensation
Monthly stipend of $1000
Access to additional paid gigs and career opportunities for our video production company
Track to potential full-time apprenticeship and employment via our partnership with Arts2Work.

Sharpen your skills by getting hands-on experience on real-world projects with clients
Step 3
Prepare a CV, reel, portfolio, and website to showcase all your new work
Step 4
We will help you get a job or internship!

Youth Beat’s partnership with Oakstop Alliance will allow Apprentices to tap into a network of Oakland-based creative professionals and gain career guidance from experienced Oakland entrepreneurs.
